Admissions Counseling
Program selection and application strategy for environmental and sustainability degrees, undergraduate through graduate.
Ecomark Energy LLC is a higher education consultation practice. We help students find rigorous environmental, sustainability, and energy-related degree programs — the ones with real faculty, real funding, and real career outcomes.
Our mission is to guide students into rigorous academic programs that lead to genuine environmental and climate careers. That means programs with active research faculty, funded fieldwork, and graduates who actually work in the sector — not rebranded catalogs with a green cover.
We read curricula the way scientists read field data: closely, skeptically, and on the record. Every recommendation we make is backed by program outcomes, faculty research output, and funding structures we have verified ourselves.
Read Our StoryFive core practices, one standard: evidence over marketing, outcomes over promises.
Program selection and application strategy for environmental and sustainability degrees, undergraduate through graduate.
Curriculum, faculty, and outcomes analysis that separates substantive programs from rebranded marketing.
Academic-to-career mapping across the green economy, built backward from the work you want to do.
Specialized advising across eight environmental degree tracks, from ecology to ESG.
Positioning students for funded labs, fieldwork, and research assistantships that launch careers.
We track sustainability curricula, faculty research agendas, and funding cycles across hundreds of programs — so you apply to programs, not brochures.
Every shortlist is built backward from the career you want: the credentials employers respect, the research areas that are hiring, and the skills the green economy actually pays for.
We measure our work by where our students end up — funded research placements, competitive fellowships, and environmental careers with substance behind them.
“Ecomark told me which programs to cross off my list — and they were right. I ended up in a lab that publishes.”
“They treated my application like a research problem. Every claim in my essays had evidence behind it.”
“I came in with a vague interest in sustainability and left with a funded master's offer and a five-year plan.”

Ecomark Energy LLC is a higher education consultation practice in Austin, Texas — founded to bring evidence and honesty to environmental degree advising.
Ecomark Energy LLC was founded in Austin on a simple observation: sustainability degree programs were multiplying faster than good guidance about them. Over the past decade, the number of U.S. programs with “environment,” “sustainability,” or “climate” in the title grew several times over — while honest, program-level advising about which ones actually deliver environmental careers remained scarce.
Our founders came from both sides of the problem: environmental research and graduate admissions. They had sat in admissions committees reading applications from talented students who chose programs by rankings and marketing copy — and they had watched graduates of rigorous programs walk into the careers those students wanted.
Ecomark exists to close that gap. We are advisors, not recruiters. We take no placement fees from universities, we recommend programs only on evidence, and we tell students plainly when a prestigious name hides a thin curriculum.
We verify before we recommend: curricula, faculty output, funding rates, placement records.
We advise for the long term — your career, and the ecosystems your career will touch.
Plain language, honest odds, no inflated promises. You always know where you stand.
We work with students who intend to do something real with their degree.
That is the whole philosophy. Everything else — the assessments, the shortlists, the essay work, the funding strategy — is execution.
Every Ecomark advisor owns a discipline: environmental program admissions, research placement, or green-sector funding.

A regenerative advising framework in four phases. Each cycle ends at a higher starting point — a stronger record, a sharper target, a clearer path.
Establish the foundation.
We document your academic record, environmental interests, quantitative readiness, and career vision — honestly, because everything downstream depends on it.
Build the plan.
We target programs across sustainability disciplines, shortlist universities on evidence, plan coursework, and set a funding timeline.
Execute the applications.
Applications, research statements, essays, faculty outreach, and fellowship submissions — drafted, tested, and submitted on schedule.
Activate the pathway.
Acceptance decisions, research placement, transition support, and long-term green-career pathway activation. Then the cycle begins again at a higher level.
The cycle is regenerative by design: every Renew phase becomes the Root of the next one — from admission, to research placement, to a career that keeps compounding.
The free discovery consultation is the first phase. Bring your record and your questions.
Overviews, target universities, prerequisites, and outcomes — the same framework we use in every track consultation.
